High-efficiency Heating Systems
In our region, we can experience some pretty chilly winters which can be unbearable to live through. In addition, a majority of the homes and buildings we live and work in can be uncomfortable with imbalanced and inefficient heating systems. Three common and frequent factors of this can include the upfront cost savings of a design with less efficient equipment, inadequately zoned systems and the lack of technology that we have available to us today to provide more optimal control and comfort. But don’t worry, we have a solution for retro-fit and new installations.
Higher Efficiency Ratings
Today’s heating systems can operate as high as 98% AFUE (annual fuel utilization efficiency), which means for every dollar you invest in your gas bill $ .98 is used to heat the space with minimal loss through the exhaust system. These systems are commonly referred to as sealed combustion, or condensing, boilers (using hot water) and furnaces (using hot air).
Variable-capacity Equipment
In addition to high-performance efficiency ratings, we have equipment capable of modulating the heat output based on certain living conditions. For example, if the temperature outside is in the 50° range the heating system can reduce its output as the space most likely will not need the full heating capacity it can offer. Alternatively, if the temperature falls into the 20° range, the system can increase its output to operate at full capacity to maintain the desired indoor temperature.
Systems we install, service and maintain include:
› High-efficiency and mid-efficiency gas hot water boilers and furnaces
› Steam boilers
› Water and air-source heat pumps
› Packaged roof top units
› Split systems: conventional and high velocity
› Variable-refrigerant-flow-systems (VRFS): ductless and ducted heat pumps
› Hydro-air
› Radiant heating systems
› Snow melt systems
› Geothermal
